Jennifer Lopez is showing off her iconic derrière in her new music video!
The multi-hyphenate star premiered her latest music video for her new single “Medicine” on Sunday on NBC’s World of Dance. The video marked the first time Lopez worked with director Jora Frantzis.
Lopez, who got engaged to fiancé Alex Rodriguez on March 9, acts as the ring leader of a white monochromatic carnival featuring fortune tellers, a 50-foot cake, complete with a glamorous blinged-out Zuhair Murad jumpsuit and white cowboy hat and boots.
“It’s a very sassy song, very kind of woman empowerment,” Lopez described in a behind-the-scenes video that was posted on her newly launched YouTube page Monday.
“[It’s] kind of giving you taste of what you give out, letting guys know that we’re not going to take any junk,” she added.
Lopez also explained that the “Medicine” visual accompaniment was inspired by Busby Berkeley musicals, specifically the inclusion of the cake of dancers.
In addition, the mother of two shows off her pole dancing moves, an act that she’s learned for her upcoming stripper drama Hustlers.
Lopez, along with costars Cardi B, Constance Wu and Riverdale‘s Lili Reinhart, stars in the film following revenge-seeking strippers, who band together with a group of fellow exotic dancers to scam their male Wall Street clients out of thousands of dollars.
“Medicine” reunites Lopez with fellow Bronx native French Montana, whom she collaborated with on the tracks “Same Girl” and “I Luh Ya Papi” in 2014.
As Lopez continues to release new music, she is also gearing up for her first tour in six years this summer, called It’s My Party: The Live Celebration, in honor of her 50th birthday.
The tour, which was first announced in February, will take Lopez on the road to 25 cities across North America, kicking off in Los Angeles on June 7 and ending on July 25 in Miami, the day after the superstar’s 50th birthday on July 24.
